Sponging:
Sponging is the paint effect you get when using a sea sponge to add a second color over a base color. It's an easy to get look and is great for walls or furniture..
Start by painting the wall a light color. using a thinned water-base paint, dip your sponge in the paint then dap lightly on the wall. If using two or more colors make sure to apply each one while leaving small spaces between the same color sponging to give a nicely mixed look, make sure not to overload your sponge with paint so it won't drip.
